El stand de la revista Brando fue el mejor de todo TED. La gente iba, se sacaba una foto en ese set tipo tapa de revista, y se la entregaban impresa. Fue realizado por Virginia Zalabeite, directora de arte de TCC | La Factoría www.factoria.com.ar .

The lovely and amazing performance poet Gabrielle Bouliane performs for the audience at the Austin Poetry Slam.

This would be her last public performance.

Gabrielle was diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer shortly before this video was filmed. Our dear sister fought hard, but she ended her fight January 29, 2010. She was surrounded by family and friends, and her passing was in a very quiet, peaceful room full of love and affection. She was so brave.

Please share this video with everyone you know. I am sure it would tickle her to no end to have this video get as viral as a video can be. Tell the world.

August 24 2009 is the 110 anniversary of Borges birth day.

Warhol should have made some art with him. Had he known him, he probably would. So here I go myself.

Borges said: "I don't see a Literature without short stories or without poetry, while the four / five- hundred-pages novels might very well disappear."

The novel is not dead today, but I think he had a point in foreseeing that the future would hold for the shortness in communications. I don't know, tho, if he could imagine the reasons why (acceleration of change, technology, Internet, mobile communications, etc).

He was a visionary, previewing the times of MicroBlogging, SMS and Twitter.

He was a genius. Happy birthday, Borges.

WOW - Vint Cerf in Buenos Aires (Internet's Dad & Google's Chief Internet Evangelist)

Another WOW for the arrival of Google to Argentina:: They gave a free conference and brought Vinton Cerf, (Vint) no less!!!

He is currently the Vice President ("& Chief Internet Evangelist") of Google. Beyond that already terrific fact, there´s some more crucial data about who Vint Cerf is: He, among other accomplishments, is the co-author of the protocol TCP/IP thanks to which computers speak between themselves on a net. As honored and thrilled I could be to have him in my country and being able to attend the conference at UBA (University of Buenos Aires) where I study, I was happily surprised for the talk itself he gave. 2 hours complete, laughing every 3 miutes about something he said or a story he had to tell. =) What a great speaker and such a warm person. I fainted when I could make him a question (On the Semantic Web and what were his thoughts about developing it before scientists woud get to understand better how the brain works in order to develop a respectable Artificial intelligence... He seemed very interested in it, yay!)

I recorded all and uploaded it finally to Google Video!!

Today 23rd of May at 3.30 pm I became 28. Happy birthday to me! :-P

I wanted to share with you this special date, as you all have so much to do with the happiness I feel today. As we oft say, this internet thing which so many people deem cold and "virtual", yet has become for many of us a genuine bridge, a way to contact and interact with special souls who otherwise we would have never been able to meet because of the physical distance.

I thank you for your friendship and support and love and company to all and each of you my friends, whether "online" or "offline" it´s the same to me... you are as close and as true. Thank you for making my life worthwhile.

Specially, this birthday I feel like thanking someone in particular because his recent presence here was the best gift I received, heaven sent. He, who has seen the sky through this same balcony I took this pic from, and who we laughed the nights and days away with, blissfully, while he stayed in town. Massimo: thank you for sharing a bite of your bright light with me! I do miss you! Bless you, shining star.

I was invited to the rather exclusive openning ceremony at Opera bay tonight. It was all nice, all ok... all normal, say. Until the CEO for Latin America, Gonzalo, said he was inviting ERIC SCHMIDT to the stage to say some words.

Then I faint.

WOW! I mean W O W !!! Eric Schmidt in person meters from me, I was like dreaming!!! I just thought of taking pics and making a short video, right after he had said that they chose Buenos Aires as the place to set the regional HQs for the universities, the high academic level of our country, and they amount of talents found here, not comparable to any other place in the region.

I am still impressed... this made the night, the week, the month! I went asked Gonzalo when I could if there was a chance to see Eric there, say hi, take a pic, something! (He didn´t show up after the little speech) but of course he said it was not possible, he had a very tight schedule. I would have loved to tell him how much do I admire him and that there is this magnific thing that he is the first person I have shared a room with, who has actually met people I so much admire and hold dear in my heart. I think I didn´t see "just" Eric, I saw an energy bridge.

Thank you. I just hope that at least 10% of the people in there have felt the same connection and have regarded the importance of being in front of such person talking, as much as I did.
